Luran S is a family of products for very demanding applications. It is particularly known for use in outdoor applications due to its enhanced UV resistance and great colour fastness. Furthermore, its persistence against numerous chemicals & fluids and improved impact strength makes it the material of choice for a broad range of outdoor applications in automotive, construction and household industries.
Luran S ECO is the first bio-attributed ASA solution in the market that includes up to 50% bio-attributed content today. The entire bio-attribution process including raw materials, supply chain and production is certified under ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification).
We currently offer the following Luran S ECO grades. All these grades are ISCC-compliant products where fossil-based styrene is substituted with ISCC certified bio-attributed styrene.
Luran S ECO 778T BC30 (with 30% bio-attributed content) is an injection-moulding grade that provides high heat resistance and strong chemical resistance. It can be used for all kind of automotive exterior applications such as front grills, mirror housings, and pillars as well as household devices.
Luran S ECO 776SE BC40 (with 40% bio-attributed content) is suitable for all kind of extrusion applications, sheets, profiles, and particularly gardening applications. First Corporation has selected this material for its new roofing sheet solution.
Luran S ECO 757G BC50 (with 50% bio-attributed content) is a high flow grade suitable for demanding injection moulding geometries.
Luran S 778TE BC30 (with 30% bio-attributed content)is an extrusion grade with enhanced heat resistance and best chemical resistance among the Luran S grades.
Luran S 777K BC50 (with 50% bio-attributed content) is considered as the standard injection moulding grade within the Luran S portfolio offering a well-balanced property profile. Luran S ECO 777K BC50 is an ISCC compliant product leading to a substitution of fossil source styrene with ISCC certified bio-attributed styrene.
Luran S MED 797S BC40 (with 40% bio-attributed content) is an injection moulding grade especially designed for small medical housings. It delivers excellent environment stress cracking resistance (ESCR) and superior long-term performance when exposed to UV irradiation.
With no changes in mechanical and thermal properties, no change in the superior UV performance nor in quality of appearance, the Luran S ECO product line continues to be a long-lasting polymer, with the added advantage of carbon footprint reduction of 39% for Luran S ECO 778T B30, 54% for Luran S ECO 776SE B40 and 60% for Luran S ECO 757G B50, when compared to their fossil-based counterparts.
